COS welcomes men and women who are looking to make an active and tangible difference in children's lives. We always welcome inquiries to the Board. If you are interested in finding out more, please email us at volunteer@cos-sf.org or use our contact form.

We also welcome volunteers for our two signature events which happen annually immediately after Thanksgiving.

COS organizes many fund-raising events, special programs, and campaigns. These include our signature events Santa Fest and Jingle & Mingle Designer Wreath Auction, which generate almost 80% of our funds. Restaurant and store openings, trunk shows, fashion shows and an annual direct mail campaign also generate individual and corporate donations. COS is also actively engaged in building relationships with community resources that support children.

The Jingle & Mingle Designer Wreath Auction features wreaths from some of the West Coasts' top designers in a festive holiday setting. We are also grateful to the many award-winning San Francisco restaurants that donate their time and talent to this event. To view some of the past wreaths, please click here.

SantaFest is a morning family party that features crafts, decorations, and a visit with Santa. It has become a holiday tradition for many Bay Area families.

In 2008, Jingle & Mingle will be held Wednesday, December 3 and SantaFest on Saturday, December 6.
